Batman: An All Black Cast, a Blerd's dream...

There's been a couple photos on facebook of a Black actors and sctresses as some of the most beloved and infamous characters from the DC Universe. Some of the cast choices were good, but I felt I needed to weigh in on the topic. Below is my dream cast for an all black starring cast. They will interact with every race, creed, color, religion, etc., but the Black actors and actresses will be the stars...unlike most Hollywood movies. Anyway, here goes:

For the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, I had to choose

Idris Elba!

He can be a playboy and a savvy vigilante. Had to give it to him.

Michael B. Jordan as Dick Grayson/Robin

Look at him. Just...look at him. He can be arrogant, willful, charming, playful and darn good man at heart. Just what we need him to be for the role of Robin.

Lupita Nyong'o as Selina Kyle/Catowman

This actress is so good she might be able to do a standalone Catwoman filmed that TANKED!

Terrence Howard as The Joker

He's got acting chops for days. There's no denying that. I would like to see him play this sociopathic psycho. With makeup...and a Joker voice...and I bet his laugh would be terrifying!

Keith David as Ra's al Ghul

Keith David is one of those actors that's kind of in everyhing. He stands out in his own right, but I think this man deserves a an opportunity to play the conniving, manipluative trainer, Ra's al Ghul.

Kimberly Washington as Talia al Ghul

This. Woman. Right. Here. She is intelligent and fierce.Throw some manipulative tendencies in there, and you've got a dynamic, complex, Talia.

Marlon Wayans as The Riddler

He can play eccentric and his quick wit will translate well for the character.

Rosario Dawson as Poison Ivy

Ms. Dawson is no stranger to action movies and playing a total bada$$; however, I would like to see her as crazed, passionate, Poison Ivy.

Gabrielle Union as Harley Quinn

This takes be back to "Deliver Us From Eva," where Union played a professional and somewhat crazy food inspector. I would love to see her switch things up by playing Dr. Harleen Quinzel.

Don Cheadle as The Scarecrow

Don Cheadle can pretty much do anything in my book. I think he would knock this character #straightoutta the park!

And last, but definitely not least...

Samuel L. Jackson as Alfred

Alfred has gotten more and more involved in Batman's affairs, occasionally offering his two cents. I think Jackson can provide the wisdom and reality checks Bruce Wayne so sorely needs.

This is all I can think of for now, but I would love to hear suggestions about Bane, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin and Nightwing! Let me know if you have any! ^_^
